ARCHERY RANGE RULES (GFGC)

1. Arrows tipped with either field points or conventional target points are permitted.
2. Broad heads or hunting points may be shot only at designated targets and times that are specified by the Range Officer (R.O.).
3. All flight shooting is prohibited, except as specified by the R.O.
4. When retrieving overshot arrows, one person should stand at the target bull to prevent shooting by the next group. A lone shooter should place his/her bow across the target face to indicate that the area is not clear for shooting.
5. Never shoot a bow until you are sure that there is no one in the area beyond the target.
6. Do not load the bow until you are ready to shoot and always make sure that it is pointed in a safe direction as you load and while loaded.
7. Ensure that other archers and/or observers stay behind the fire line.
8. For personal safety, always ensure that your bow and the accessories are in good condition as well as matched (i.e. - Use correct weight and length of arrows for your bow.).
