Sixteen Cowboy Action Shooters from four Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec clubs attended a SASS Range Operations Basic Safety Course ( Level I) at Grenville Fish and Game Club on September 29th, 2007. The Course was capably presented by Bear Butte, SASS Life # 11231. Bear Butte was accompanied by his four legged pard, Boris. Everyone came away with a much improved understanding of the duties and roles played by the Range Officials in our sport, and a more comprehensive knowledge of the rules in the SASS Handbook.  The instruction covered the material found in the Range Operations Basic Safety Course ( Level I)  Version H Guide.

Lunch was prepared by those competent chuckwagon honchos; Cold Lake Kid, Richelieu Mike and Yorkshire Bob.

On completion of the course, the student RO's hauled out their scatterguns for session with Bear Child Potts' "Can Tosser". Those waddies using their SASS Legal smokepoles were NOT outdone by Limestone City Girl's fancy new-age semi-auto! The shotgunning was a very pleasant way to complete a truly interesting and cordial day.
