To get started in Cowboy Action Shooting you will need...
Two single action revolvers and a western style gunbelt.
A lever action rifle in a pistol calibre.
(examples 357, 38 Special, 44-40, 44 Special, 44 Magnum, 45 Colt)
Note that the rifle must hold 10 rounds in the magazine. (not 9 + 1 in the chamber).
A 12, 16 or 20 gauge shotgun using 7 1/2 or 8 shot only. Can be a double barrel with hidden
or exposed hammers, a 1887 lever action or a 1897 style pump action.
A collared long sleeved shirt with buttons, jeans or cowboy style dress pants, cowboy or lace
up boots, a cowboy hat and eye & ear protection.
The following are not allowed: No jacketed ammo - lead bullets only. No Factory magnum ammo.
